DAY 1, Thursday - Depart for Canada
Depart on your flight to the coastal seaport city of Vancouver. Arrive and transfer independently to your hotel. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 2, Friday - Vancouver City Tour
Begin your morning with Stanley Park, offering stunning views of the mountains, Lions Gate Bridge and the city's inner harbor. Make a stop at Granville Island, known for its extensive Public Market. Afterwards, hop aboard a ferry that takes you across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island and onwards to Victoria. Arrive in the charming city of Victoria, capital city of British Columbia. Check into the hotel with time to settle in before dinner tonight

DAY 3, Saturday - Butchart Gardens, City Tour of Victoria
This morning, visit Butchart Gardens with its 55 acres of flowers and show gardens, including the Japanese, Italian, and Rose gardens. In the afternoon return to Victoria. On the way back, drive on the Trans-Canada Highway to see "mile zero." Upon arrival, embark on a city tour of Victoria, starting at Beacon Hill Park. Spend the remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure

DAY 4, Sunday - Kamloops
Depart the island, and take the ferry back to the mainland. Continue with a drive on the Coquihalla Highway, through spectacular scenery towards Kamloops. Arrive in Kamloops, the only major city in central British Columbia, and check into the hotel. Evening is at leisure

DAY 5, Monday - BC Wildlife Park, Travel to Jasper National Park
Begin your morning exploring BC Wildlife Park, home to nearly 200 animals and 65 different species native to British Columbia, including the only Kermode bear in human care in the world. Afterwards, travel through the communities of Blue River and Clearwater, and continue following the North Thompson river, and then the Fraser river, towards Jasper. Today's highlights include views of Mount Robson (12,972 feet), the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper and check in to your hotel, with time to relax before tonight's dinner

DAY 6, Tuesday - Jasper National Park, Spirit Island
Explore Jasper today, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. Begin at a section of the park known for its abundant flora and fauna. Drive up the valley to see Medicine Lake, which exists only during the summer months when melting glaciers bring water into the valley. Take a cruise* to world-famous Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, the heart of Jasper National Park. See the tranquil blue color of this glacier formed and fed lake during this calming wilderness experience. Then, on to majestic Maligne Canyon to learn about the unique features of this underground system. Time to walk along the canyon's trails with breathtaking views of waterfalls and unusual rock formations. Return to Jasper, for the remainder of the day at leisure or, participate in the optional Athabasca River Raft Trip that retraces the route of the early explorers along the Athabasca River

DAY 7, Wednesday - Travel to Banff, Ice Glacier Tour, Lake Louise
Depart Jasper this morning, and travel along the Icefields Parkway to Banff. Listen to the history and geology of this area during the Ice Explorer tour that takes you to the surface of the massive Athabasca Glacier (weather permitting). On the journey, hear about the formation of glaciers, the interesting geological features of the area and step out onto the surface of the powerful ancient ice. Later, view Lake Louise, known for its blue waters, located at the base of Victoria Glacier. Admire the mountain scenery as you approach Banff National Park, nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Evening is at leisure

DAY 8, Thursday - Gondola to Sulphur Mountain, Lake Minnewanka
Explore Banff National Park, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, ascend by gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain experiencing panoramic views of six mountain ranges and the village below. Then, at your leisure, walk along the boardwalk of the Observation Deck (weather permitting), or shop for gifts. Continue on a scenic drive to Lake Minnewanka "Water of the Spirits", a glacial lake in the eastern area of Banff. Afterward, return to Banff for lunch on your own and afternoon at leisure

DAY 9, Friday - Travel to Calgary, Heritage Park
This morning, head to Calgary. Upon arrival, take an orientation tour. Drive past the major sites to see a combination of historical, architectural, and vintage landmarks of this diverse city. Explore the many attractions and exhibits at the Heritage Park before arriving to the hotel. At dinner tonight, bid farewell to your Tour Manager and Western Canada
