5 Day Canadian Rockies Express

DAY 1, Saturday - Depart for Canada
Arrive in Calgary, Alberta's gateway to the Canadian Rockies and transfer independently to your hotel. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 5 PM

DAY 2, Sunday - Calgary City Tour, Travel to Banff
This morning, take a city tour of Calgary. Drive past the major sites to see a combination of historical, architectural, and vintage landmarks of this city. After lunch at leisure, continue to Banff. Enjoy the mountain scenery as you approach Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in Banff and check into your hotel

DAY 3, Monday - Yoho National Park & Lake Louise
Begin the day in scenic Yoho National Park. Proceed to Spiral Tunnels viewpoint, where you learn about the construction of the railway tunnels on the historic Canadian Pacific Railway Line. Afterwards, travel to Emerald Lake and view the turquoise colored water. Lastly, marvel at the Natural Bridge, an impressive natural rock formation. Continue to Lake Louise, known for its sparkling blue waters. Later, return to Banff with time at leisure, or participate in the optional Float Tour on the Bow River. The gentle raft float offers views of a variety of wildlife and a chance to learn more about the area's history

DAY 4, Tuesday - Full Day in Banff National Park
Spend a full day at leisure in Banff National park or consider joining the optional Banff National Park Tour & Gondola Ride to experience bird's-eye views of six mountain ranges. Later, enjoy Banff National Park, nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Follow the Tunnel Mountain drive and continue along the shores of Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka, "Water of the Spirits", a gorgeous glacial lake in the eastern area of Banff where First Nations people inhabited the area around 10,000 years ago. End the day at Cave and Basin National Historic Site* and view the thermal springs that lead to the creation of Banff National Park. Return to the hotel. At dinner tonight, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
*Cave and Basin National Historic Site visit is subject to unexpected closures due to religious activities and/or tribal ceremonies

DAY 5, Wednesday - Depart Canada
Early morning group departure at 730AM from Banff to Calgary International Airport for your departure flight. Passengers returning to Calgary from Banff on day 5 should select flights that depart no earlier than 2 PM. Another group transfer will depart Banff at 12PM for those with late afternoon/evening flights. Banff is approximately a two hour drive from the Calgary International Airport

Passengers departing Banff to Calgary International Airport on day 5 should select flights that depart no earlier than 2 PM. Group departure transfers will operate at approximately 8 AM & 12 PM. Banff is approximately a two-hour drive from the Calgary International Airport.

It is recommended that passengers select flights that arrive in Calgary no later than 5 PM on day 1.

All sightseeing and itinerary inclusions are subject to favorable weather conditions and seasonality. In those instances, and until the roads are available for travel, often unpredictable until the last moment, roads, routes and sites will be amended.


Accommodation Details:
Triple rooms consist of two double/queen beds for three persons; where available, a fee may be charged by the hotel for the addition of a cot/rollaway.
