DAY 2, Sunday - Elk Island National Park
Begin the day at Elk Island National Park, founded as a wildlife refuge for preservation of elk herds in the area and influential in re-establishing the bison population in Western Canada and the United States. Today, the park is a sanctuary for bison, moose, elk, beavers, and other small animals. Afterward, explore the exhibits of the Royal Alberta Museum before returning to the hotel. This evening, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager

DAY 3, Monday - Botanic Garden, Galloway Station Museum, Travel to Jasper
This morning, visit the colorful and fragrant University of Alberta Botanic Garden, a 240-acre property with over 4,000 plant species. Then, on to the Galloway Station Museum, which tells the of the area's railway roots, as well as its coal mining history. Afterward, drive along the picturesque roads to Jasper, an alpine community with views of the Rocky Mountains. Spend leisure time in the downtown Jasper area before driving to the Pyramid Lakes area of Jasper National Park to see Pyramid Mountain. Tonight, dinner is at a local restaurant

DAY 4, Tuesday - Jasper National Park, Spirit Island Cruise, Maligne Canyon
Drive to Jasper National Park, known for its abundant wildlife, and arrive at Maligne Lake, nestled in a ring of towering mountains. Here, board a boat* to Spirit Island, the iconic crown jewel of Jasper National Park. At the pine tree covered Spirit Island, have a chance to take photos before returning to shore. Then, on to Maligne Canyon to learn about the unique features of this underground water system. Take time to walk on the canyon's trails before heading back to Jasper for an afternoon at leisure, or participate in the optional Athabasca River Raft Trip that retraces the route of the early explorers along the Athabasca River

DAY 5, Wednesday - Athabasca Falls, Columbia Icefield Discovery Center & Lake Louise
Travel on the Icefields Parkway, to Athabasca Falls flowing from the Columbia Icefields. Continue to the Columbia Icefield Discovery Center and take an excursion on the Ice Explorer onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier. Stop along the glacier and walk on the ice. Enjoy lunch on your own before continuing on to Lake Louise, located in historic Banff National Park. Evening is at leisure

DAY 6, Thursday - Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Travel to Banff
Travel to Moraine Lake, with its indigo waters surrounded by the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Proceed to crystal-clear Lake Louise and Yoho National Park, named after a Cree word meaning wonder and awe. Marvel at the Natural Bridge, an impressive natural rock formation gradually carved out over time by the Kicking Horse River. Proceed to Spiral Tunnels viewpoint and witness an engineering ingenuity firsthand. Learn about the construction of the railway tunnels on the historic Canadian Pacific Railway Line. After time at leisure, continue to the town of Banff in the heart of Banff National Park

DAY 7, Friday - Banff National Park, Cave & Basin National Historic Site
Soar to the top of Sulphur Mountain via gondola and enjoy bird's-eye views of six mountain ranges. Next, visit Banff National Park, located in the Canadian Rockies. Continue along the shores of Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka, also referred to as the Water of the Spirits, a glacial lake in the eastern area of Banff where First Nations people inhabited the area around 10,000 years ago. This afternoon, visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site*, the geographical birthplace of Canada's National Park System. Spend time exploring the naturally occurring, warm mineral springs that can be found inside the cave and outside in an emerald-colored basin. Spend leisure time wandering through the main streets
